I learn by building things, taking them apart, and rebuilding them better.
It started with a curiosity for how games actually work. As a volunteer with the Midjiwan community, I adapted the strategy game Polytopia into Minecraft using Java, writing scripts to automate and speed up server creation.
"That instinct to take things apart and understand them is what led me to engineering."
From there I kept going — building and shipping mods for Helldivers 2 and Balatro by modifying render files and drawing my own pixel art. That turned into a CS & Engineering degree at UC Merced, where I now work across C++ systems, full-stack web with React and Flask, MIPS assembly, and data analysis in MATLAB.
I'm most drawn to problems that live where clean architecture meets something people can actually play — and I'm currently looking for internships where I can build exactly that.
